There are are a few things we like to make you aware of before the weekend. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before agreeing to them below.

Terms and Conditions of Participation in the BTG Spiritual Weekend Retreat at The Ecology Retreat Centre

The participant signator shall be named throughout these terms and conditions as "participant".  The event organizers Jennifer Febel of BTG Wellness and Live Life Unbroken shall be named throughout these terms and conditions as "event organizer".

The participant understands that participation in this retreat includes, but is not limited to, participation in energetic techniques, breathwork techniques, essential oil usage, sacred herb burning and performing various activities designed to balance and open up the different body energy systems. 

Participant acknowledges that participation is completely voluntary, and freely accepts and fully assumes all responsibility for all risks. Participant agrees to this release of claims and waiver of liability and assume full responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss, which may result from participation in this event. 

The Participant understands that it is their responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding participation in this retreat and represents and warrants that the Participant is physically fit and able to participate and have no medical conditions that would be aggravated by the event, and have no medical condition which would prevent full participation. 

As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. The electronic signature below acknowledges that the Participant understands that in this retreat each individual will progress at their own pace and acknowledges that this retreat is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment. The Participant affirms that they alone are responsible to decide whether to participate. 

1. Use of Photos/Video
The Participant consents to and authorizes the use of any photographs of the Participant participating in this retreat (“the Photographs”) for any purpose whatsoever including without limitation: sale, reproduction in all media, publication, display, broadcast and exhibition for promotion, advertising, trade, art or illustration. The Participant further agrees that the Photographs may be used without further compensation for an unlimited time and that this Agreement is irrevocable.  The Participant agrees that the Photographs, the copyright in the Photographs and all other rights in the Photographs or copies or reproductions thereof are the sole property of the Event Organizer and that the Event Organizer may protect the copyright or dispose of or authorize the use of any or all such rights in any manner whatsoever. 

The participant hereby grants the event organizer a non-exclusive license to use the participant's name and likeness in promoting BTG Wellness retreats, events and activities, the sound recording and/or the videotape made of the participant's participation at the BTG Spiritual Weekend Retreat, and any future publications containing the Materials and/or second recording and/or videotape in whole or in part.

2. Accident Waiver and Release of Liability
The participant acknowledges that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability form will be used by the event organizer, and the sponsors of the event in which the participant may participate and it will govern the participant's actions and responsibilities at the event.

The Participant hereby waives any and all claims or actions they may now or in the future have and release from all liability and agree not to sue Jennifer Febel, BTG Wellness, Live Life Unbroken, BelieveWell Training and any of its owners or staff, including Jennifer Febel and their respective heirs, executors, administrators, employees, owners or agents, for any damages, costs or losses of any kind whatsoever, including but not limited to damages, cost or losses from personal injury, death, or property damage incurred or suffered by the Participant, as a result of their use of the premises where the retreat is held, or any act or omission including negligence, breach of contract, or breach of any statutory or other duty of care, on the part of Jennifer Febel arising out of or related to attendance at, and participation in this retreat.

The Participant understand that they will be help personally responsible for any damage caused by them, directly or indirectly, to the retreat premises and agrees to act with honour, integrity and compassion during this retreat to themselves and fellow participants.

In consideration of the participant's application and permitting the participant to participate in this event, the participant takes action for herself, her executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows: (A) Waive, release, and discharge from any and all liability for the participant's death, disability personal injury, property damage, property theft or actions of any kind which may hereafter accrue to the participant or the participant's traveling to and from this event, the event organizers, and their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives and agents, the event sponsors and event volunteers, (B) indemnify and hold harmless all entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made by other individuals or entities as a result of the participant's actions during this event.
 
2a. COVID-19 Updated June 2021
The Participant acknowledges the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing.

The Participant further acknowledges that Jennifer Febel, BTG Wellness and Live Life Unbroken cannot guarantee that Participant will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19 and understands that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of the Participant and others, including, but not limited to, retreat attendees, retreat centre staff, facilitators and their families.

The Participant voluntarily seeks services provided by Jennifer Febel, BTG Wellness and Live Life Unbroken and acknowledges that they are increasing the risk of exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. The Participant acknowledges that they must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending this event.

The Participant hereby releases and agrees to hold Jennifer Febel, BTG Wellness and Live Life Unbroken harmless from, and waive on behalf of themselves, their heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to the Participant and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of the event organizers, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from Jennifer Febel and Live Life Unbroken. The Participant understands that this release discharges Jennifer Febel, BTG Wellness and Live Life Unbroken from any liability or claim that the Participant, their heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the event organizers with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from Jennifer Febel, BTG Wellness and Live Life Unbroken or other facilitators during this event. This liability waiver and release extends to the event organizers together with all owners, partners, and employees.


3. Counselling / Advise / Private Session Release of Liability
All advice, counselling, coaching, and guidance given during workshops, group activities, private one-to-one sessions, discussion groups, and private conversations throughout the BTG Spiritual Healing Weekend Retreat is given without liability. The participant is responsible for her actions as a result of said services.

4. Cancellation/Refund Policy
All sales are final. Should you be unable to attend a BTG Retreat, no refunds will be given however we are more than happy to transfer your registration to a future retreat or event.
 
BY ELECTRONICALLY SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OUTLINED HEREIN INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, CANCELLATION POLICIES, PAYMENT PLANS, LIABILITY AND MARKETING PERMISSIONS.
